Night Market - The Wharf Walking Street in Bo Phut, Koh Samui.

The Wharf Walking Street Koh Samui

Thailand and the night market is something that comes together. Where is Thailand, there are night markets! And I’m one of those who loves going to the night markets because of their various choices of food and the night market vibes (food, people, live music, goods etc.) Well, food is simply my main reason for going there to be honest 😅.

Speaking of Night markets, in Koh Samui, one of the most popular and the biggest night market you’ll find here is The Wharf Walking Street which is a part of Fisherman Village in Bo Phut. One of the night markets you shouldn’t miss when visiting Koh Samui. It is located right in front of the PTT filling station in Bo Phut. (Google Map)

DAYS & TIME

There is a night market on every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of the week.

STALLS / GOODS

There are plenty of local stalls at the market selling all kinds of goods that you can shop like clothes, bags, souvenirs, tropical lights made of coconuts, loudspeakers, soaps, accessories, etc. I personally think that this night market is one of the best places for souvenir shopping on the island.

FOOD & DRINKS

Here comes the highlight of the night market :) It is yummy food & drinks at very interesting prices. Here, you’ll find Mango & Sticky rice for 50-60 THB, Phad Thai shrimp for 80 THB, Pork Ribs for 200 THB (Not fall off the bone quality but I’d say it’s ok), a cocktail for 99 THB, and Dumplings for 50 THB for example.

LIVE MUSIC

As of 31 Dec, now there’s only one stage for live music by a Thai band in The Wharf walking street where you can also join the show! You can sit and eat your food bought from the market in this area. The tables are provided by the cocktail & beer stalls in front of them. The staff of these stalls will come to you for a drink order and serve at the table (99THB for any cocktail). But if you’d like to have some beer, there is a separate stall for that.

PARKING

There's parking at the Wharf but if you don’t come early enough, the parking can be full quickly. Now some part of the parking is reserved for the new Holiday Inn hotel which is right next to it. However, the alternative for those coming with a car is to park on the main road close to the PTT garage.
